10 Thing that I'm Thankful For

10 Things I’m Thankful For…

#1 I’m thankful for my mom. She makes me food when I’m hungry, cleans my clothes when their dirty, and takes me place I need to get to. That is why I’m thankful for my mom.
#2 I’m thankful for my dad because her pays for me to play sports, helps me homework if I get stuck, and keeps me focused on homework and school actives. He also wants me to be the best at what I do. That’s why I’m thankful for my dad.
#3 I’ m thankful for my sister, even though sometimes she can be a pain, she is someone I can go to talk, hang out with, play poker with, and just have a good time with. If I’m every having a hard time with something, she is always there for me.
#4 I’m thankful for Facebook. It’s fun to go on and look to see what people are doing and to play poker with people that I know and don’t know. If I didn’t have Facebook, I don’t know what I’d do on the internet.
#5 I’m thankful for my Ipod. I like to sit down and just listen to music that I like. I also like to watch Youtube from it. On Youtube, I like to watch Failblog. A lot things that people do is really fun and some stuff I never want to see it again.
#6 I love poker! Its so fun to win and lose chips with my friends. But the most important thing is to play Texas holdem. It’s one thing playing to win, but playing for the fun of it is way more fun.
#7 I’m thankful for hockey. It isn’t the most popular sport in the world, but here in Hockey Town, it’s our lives to watch the Wings! Making the Stanly Cup Finals two years in a row is so much excitement to deal with, but losing again the “Biggest Wimp” in the NHL (Crosby) and also that the ref’s were calling for them? It made me so mad. The fact is that hockey is a fast pace game that takes a lot of skill to play. That is why I play hockey and love it.
#8 I’m thankful for my Xbox. When I have nothing to do, I can go down stairs and have something to do. But I love to play with my friends. It makes it a whole much more exciting to play. Spare time doesn’t always have to go to waste.
#9 I’m thankful for the pool club. Newburgh swim Club gives me thing to do during the summer, like swim, playing basketball, and volleyball. Hanging out with my friends up there is so much fun. The one I will always remember about Newburgh is playing 8 square! It’s fun to hit the ball around with your friends. That’s why I love going up there!
#10 I’m thankful for the TV. It’s fun to watch sporting events, cartoons, and to watch MTV. There always something to watch even though there is nothing on the channel that you like has nothing good to watch. The news is always a good to watch to make sure that everything is running smooth in the world. Thank you to the person that made TV!

US culture and my culture

Culture

The American culture can be described as fast moving and everyone is out for themselves. Most kids are moving around because they are playing sports and doing other things. Also kids are out for themselves. You can find examples of this at school and at sporting events. The kids are allows out at a hockey or football game trying to score or a play. At school, kids try to get better at subject or ace a test to get better grades. The better grades you get at school, the better off in life you are to help find a job, go to a good collage, make good money at your job, and being able to support a family.
In my family, we are not allows home because we are going to my sister and my hockey games, football games, or swim meets. Our parents want us to be the best as we can at sports and at school so we can go to a good collage and get a good job for the future. But sometimes were not allows going to sports events and school, so we stay at home sleep, eat, hang out with friends to have a good time, and to relax. On the weekend, my family goes to church to pray to god. This is what I go through every week of my life. If this change I would feel wired because I’m used to it and it’s my culture.
